About sigv

sigv is a transmodal live coding and composition mini-language for live performance, research and experimentation, audiovisual composition and analysis. sigv is a result of an attempt to "live code" the creation of a software instrument. The language and its prototype tools create a live coding approach to the learning of the Unix command line and specific functionalities of the Max environment, where the concept began. This project is part of magfoto's PhD research in Digital Media, with both nd::StudioLab and Alice Lab at York University.
